Come join us here at the old farm and treat your taste buds to a gastronomic delight of French Cuisine with a hint of Noel.

This two night special includes accommodation in one of our luxury ensuite rooms, full buffet breakfast , lunch at the old farm and three course evening meals prepared by your host and chef David.

On your excursion to the maison du biscuit, sample the homemade biscuits, wander around the old fashioned delicatessen and be amazed at the endless variety of gourmet goods and festive treats before enjoying a specialty tea, coffee or hot chocolate in the quaint French tea room

We will visit the medieval city of Caen to experience the sights and smells of the Christmas Market with over 50 wooden chalets selling an outstanding array of Christmas goodies such as foie gras, mulled cider, pain d’ epices, and roasted chestnuts.

Itinerary

Noel Christmas Normandy France

Day 1

Arrive at the old farm, and enjoy your homemade mince pies and mulled cider.

In the evening relax and dine with a three course meal in front of a wood burning stove:

Menu
Aperitif, Cream of chestnut, wild mushroom and parsnip soup, Duck breast served on a bed of celeriac, ginger and lemon puree with spiced pears and blackberries, Fondant potatoes with confit of garlic, French winter vegetable ragout , confit of red cabbage, Sticky figgy pudding with homemade gingerbread ice cream , Coffee.

Meal includes wine, cider or beer before you retire enjoy a nightcap in front of the log fire

Day 2

Day Two Enjoy a leisurely breakfast followed by our morning excursion to the maison du biscuit at Sortosville-En-Beaumont Lunch at the Old Farm, a sharing platter of Charcuterie, Camembert and French bread. Drinks included

Afternoon excursion to the Caen for the Christmas Market. Return to the Old Farm to relax before your evening meal: Menu - Aperitif , Duck and Clementine Terrine with Mustard Fruits, Beef Bourguignon, Chateau Potatoes cooked in Goose Fat, Hot Pot of Old Fashioned Vegetables, Spiced Pears & Figs with Homemade Cinnamon Ice Cream and Coffee.
