2021 Normandy Noel and French Cuisine Special including Private Guided Tour of Historic DDay Sites
Come join us here at the Old Farm and treat your taste buds to a gastronomic delight of French Cuisine with a hint of Noel.
This four day special includes accommodation in one of our luxury ensuite rooms, full buffet breakfast , lunch at the Old Farm and four course evening meals prepared by your host and chef David.
Enjoy this festive treat as we visit the charming medieval town of Bayeux where you will have the opportunity to marvel at the architecture of Notre-Dame Cathedral, or why not retrace the Norman conquest at the famous Bayeux tapestry. Christmas time is a beautiful time to visit and traditional celebration fills the town with festivity.
Indulge in the festive atmosphere at the Caen Christmas market, a traditional market with over 60 chalets selling everything from traditional decorations to delicious local produce such as foie gras, mulled cider, pain d’ epices, and roasted chestnuts .

Arrive at the old farm, and enjoy your homemade mince pies and mulled cider. In the evening relax and dine with a four course meal in front of a wood burning stove: Menu - Aperitif, Oysters with Apple & Camembert, Duck Breast served on a bed of Celeriac, Ginger and Lemon puree with Spiced Pears and Blackberries, Fondant Potatoes with Confit of Garlic, French Winter Vegetable Ragout , Confit of Red Cabbage, Normandy Cheeseboard. After a leisurely breakfast we depart for the quaint and historic town of Bayeux where you will be free to experience the many delights of Bayeux at your leisure before meeting at Le Volet qui Penche for lunch.
After lunch we will visit Caen for the Christmas Market. Experience the sights and smells of the traditional Christmas market as you sample the local Norman produce.
Return to the Old Farm to relax before your evening meal: Menu - Aperitif , Duck and Clementine Terrine with Mustard Fruits, Beef Bourguignon garnished with glazed baby carrots, glazed shallots, Potatoes Boulangere with Rosemary, Medley of Winter Greens with Walnut Butter , Normandy Cheeseboard . After your breakfast, we shall visit the charming Maison du Biscuit at Sortosville-En-Beaumont, a ideal opportunity to sample and buy those special festive treats for yourself or family and friends. Meet us in the tea room for one of their specialty teas, coffees or hot chocolate. Lunch at the Old Farm for a sharing platter of Charcuterie, Warm Camembert and French bread. Drinks included Early afternoon you will be collected from the Old Farm by your guide for a three hour personal and private tour of this historic DDay area. The perfect way to end memorable time in Normandy. Return to the Old Farm to share your experiences and enjoy an aperitif before your evening meal.
